One Movie, One Week: Week One; Delhi 6

This the start to my One movie, One Week challenge. I will watch at least one movie each week for a year.

Week One: Delhi 6

Delhi 6 is a 2009 bollywood movie directed by Rakeysh Ompraksh Mehra. Delhi 6 stars Abhishek Bachchan as Rohan, an American Indian who takes his grandmother ( THE AMAZING Waheeda Rehman) back to India as her dying wish. Through, this journey Rohan meet many different and interesting character this is the basis of Delhi 6. In addition, when Rohan and his gran land in Delhi there is a mysterious figure called the Black Monkey that is terrorizing Delhi.

Overall Thoughts:
I really did enjoy Delhi 6. I thought it was fresh and innovative. I loved the issues it tackled such as the whole Hindu-Muslim conflict, the importance of marriage on women in society (Rama & Bittu), the abuse of power by officials, caste system and respect for your heritage.
I think the way the movie handle these issues were excellent. However, the last 20 mins of the movie I think could have been done better. I don't get why the whole heaven with his grandad was needed. I feel that was just to get Amitabh in the movie. I would have probably liked it more if Rohan did actually die. Horrible I know, but the whole coming back to life after death and meeting with his grandad was so ugh. But I still did like it.

I'm very glad I watch this movie because I've been iffy on Sonam since the other movies I seen her in I haven't been impressed. But this movie convinced me, she's got it. I hope she does more roles like Bittu and other movies that are a bit off the track.
The supporting cast was just excellent every single one of them down to the kids.
I love Rojja, "Hi how do you do? I am myself Rojja", she was too adorable!

I think I'm going to take a hiatus from tumblr.
I made a decision today I am not going to be pursing a career as a physician. I don't think it's right for me.
Instead I will be pursing a career as a physician assistant and this is what i'm sticking too I just have to tell my mo oh gosh and let my advisor now. I just think I'm better suited for a physician assistant role.
This feels right to me.
Wish me luck that i finish all what is needed for my degree proposal by this Thursday.

The decade is almost over, time sure does fly. I wanted to do a picspam of my favorite Guiltiest Pleasures. These are movies that i just LOVE and watch so much. They are NOT critically praised movies, they are just to make you laugh have fun and brighten you day. 1. Bend It Like Beckham
(2002)

What family would want a daughter-in-law who can run around kicking football all day but can't make round chapattis?
I can't even explain how I love this movie, it is one of my favorite movie ever. I seriously believe Gurinder Chadha wrote this for me. This movie is just such a great pleasure to watch. It's Hilarious, fun, bright and has such a wonderful cast. The movie is very relateable, everyone has that pressure to want to please their parent and wanting to follow their dream. I can go on and on forever about my love for this movie.. Parminder and Johnathan HOTTTTT!

2. Save the Last Dance
(2001)
You know what? Derek and I like each other and if you have a problem with that, then screw you.
Who doesn't love this movie? It's the original Step Up and it has never been done better. I remember when it first came out and me and friends watched it all the time.

3. A Cinderella Story
(2004)
I know that guy that sent those emails is somewhere inside of you, but I can't wait for him... because waiting for you is like waiting for rain in this drought. Useless and disappointing.
I love this movie i know a lot of people probably like why?! I just do! I think it just so cute and Chad and Hilary make a good couple. The movie not fantastic but it a good movie to watch and i like how they modernized it. And Sam is a lot more independent than Cinderella, I like that.

4. Legally Blonde
(2001)
All people see when they look at me is blonde hair and big boobs.
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS MOVIE! I've never watched a Reese movie before this and not really after this lol. But I love this movie it funny and kinda empowering. After watching this movie i feel like i can do anything too and look damn fabulous!

5.My Big Fat Greek Wedding
(2002)
There are two kinds of people - Greeks, and everyone else who wish they was Greek.
This movie is so awesome cause i see so many of my family in these characters. It's so hilarious, romantic, and loving. I think a lot of people can relate to a lot of the situtation.

6. Bunty Aur Babli
(2005)
Dekh na mere sar se aasmaan ud gaya hai, dekh na aasmaan ke sire khul gaye hain zameen se, chup chup ke chup chup ke chori se chori.
I can write a whole paper on this movie, infact i have. This movie solidify Rani & Abhishek Jodi as one of my favorite. The Chemistry these two share is amazing! I was and still am a huge Ranishek shipper. Just as an other Bollywood movie the soundtrack is amazing. They seriously need to do another RIGHT NOW. Please Abhishek STOP doing movies with Aishwarya i love you guys as a real life couple bu onscreen the chemsity is as hot as Serbian Tundra. Please do a movie with your girl, the beautiful, talented, amazing Rani.

7. Salaam Namaste
(2005)

Ok, so last month the theme for picspammy was colors and two things popped in my mind BOLLWOOD & FOOTBALL. Too bad i was a school that challenge end but this challenge theme is something different. So I decided to to a picspam showing the emotions of the game then i realize I was basically picking mostly CL pics so it became a CL picspam. If you don't know UEFA Chamions League Trophy is the Ultimate Trophy in European Football. After winning your league we basically lust for this trophy. And these games give people emotions likeno other one minute you're ready to cut a bitch then next your jumping all over the place. So I wanted to do a picspam that showed these emotions. And the video that inspired my picspam.

It is just CRAZY! Yesterday when they were talking about slavery and how slave built the capital and other many DC building and many buildings around the nation my mom was just crying think about how they took our people cause we are Sierra Leoneans and they put then in that tight suffocating shipp brought then here to become there slaves. And now an African-American is gonna stand on those step and become 44th President of America. And the world is going crazy! However, the world still needs to change i know most people around the world doesn't think highly of American and are happy for this change in American but the world needs to look at it self to Europe esp. look at the amount of racism people face in Spain, France, England, just friggin everywhere! Just needs to Stop! I wish an Indian would be elected prime minister in England, An Arab president in France and African in Spain and i wish more women will be elected into presidency too. My goodness i leave like 20 mins from the captial and it is PACKED! OMG! CRAZY! I just wish for unity for everyone and just great! 12:00 pm it will HAPPEN ! I first heard of this movie through our local movie review show Entertainment Forecast they gave it alot of praise so i was hmm let me check it out. It was truly wonderful! It captures the political and social climate of Russia today wonderfully and The actors were just amazing, Ben Kingsley, Woody Harrelson, and Emily Mortimer are just whoa! Definitely Check it out!

This was one of the most anticipated movie of 2008 in bollywood cause it was an Aamir Khan production and it was the debut of his nephew that all the girls were going gagaga for Imraan! The story is not original but it the actors and new cast that make it so wonderful and different! It was totally cute and adorable and ofcourse the two friend end up together in the end DOH! lmao ! The only thing that got me was genelia's over hyperness and over acting sometimes! but besides that she was great and Imraan was great and alot of people forgot the other cast member were SUPERB! the mom, dad, and friend were just great! If your not into bollywood i say watch this movie you'll totally LOVE IT!

I wanted to see this movie cause it look great. When i saw it finally this is one of the FUNNIEST movie i've EVER saw! Seriously i've never laughed so hard in the theatre before. IT was pure comedy GENUIS! and Tom Cruise took me half way through the movie to realize it was him. This movie was GREAT! if you haven't seen it your missin out on ALOT! GO AND SEE IT ASAP! too funny everyone was just great!

So this morning i woke late! lol i slept for like forever. Then i went to call my mom and the phone wasn't working. the internet wasn't working either so i had to call the comcast ppl and the idoit wouldn't fix my net he said he need the account # even though i gave all the info. w/e my mom called them and they sent some ppl to fix the problem down the road. I got my french books 2day yay! i realized were are gonna be watch french films yay! and were gonna watch one of my faves Le fabuleux destin d'Amelie poulain. yay! that makes me happy. I finally transfered my itune libary from my old comp to my laptop but the stupid thing didn't tranfer my play count. ugh. HOLA meri Habibis! This morning my mom went to my room and she was like berni wake wake up go feed ur cats they are here and me who has spelt 4 hours the most every day! so i was tired! but i got up and feed them and was sooo happy that one of the cats came near me she omg she know u well. she gonna miss u when u go hahaa. i'm gonna miss them sooooo much i can't go outside and just go and look at them or feed them :( anyways yday was a HUGE night phelps and nadal i flipped out i've been telling everyone that this is the year of rafa and he gonna be unleashed and he was won EVERYTHING when he one the gold i seriously fell of my bed lmao i was soo happy. and pehlps at the stadium for the ravens ame ppl stayed after to watch the final and just went CRAZY! and he coming back haha i was telling my friend who was crazy for him that she can see him when we go to school! haha! me is taking a break from graphic making but that doesn't mean i;'m leaving lj im sstill gonna be here just not making graphics. i realized that my laptop came with paint shop x i hope it was ps :p
I used my card for the first yday i brought an itunes gift card i firstly downloaded music for the 1st time on itunes hehe. ahhh man there only 5 days left. whooooa! only it hitting me. how are u guys? anyways notthing else much to say than i'm addicted to bebhab feek :)

I'm Seriously having the best time EVER! First, WE BEAT THOSE TRASH TALKING FRENCH!!!!!!!!!! I WAS JUMPING ON MY BED LIKE CRAZY!!!! then, Phelps WON HIS 3RD GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WENT CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG I'M SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY AND PROUD OF HIM!!!!!!!!!!!! Thridly, one of my grandmama came on sunday she isn't my biological grandmama but you know how it is with us africans lol! so her daugther my aunt came too and she went to the table and screamed and she was like KAHBI KHUSHI KAHBIE GHAM! I was YOU WATCH INDIAN MOVIES! she was like YESSSSSSSSSS I LOVEEEEEEEEEE THEM SHAHRUKH KHAN IS MY HUSBAND! haha! How awesome is that i told her that srk was gonna have a world tour and most like come her she was like we gots to go! hahah! Fourthly, i went to see my lab test results and everyhiing is NORMAL!!!!!!!!!!!whooooooooooooooooooooooooooooot! my good cholestorl is really high and babd cholestrol is low yay! and my T4s are normal! =] Oh i got my laptop home!yay i think i've finished patically everything on my list!
