About Brookfield in Japan

Japan is a strategically important market for Brookfield and we opened our Tokyo office in 2015. We have approximately 150 client relationships including with some of Japan’s largest and most influential investors. We are active in seeking opportunities to invest in real estate, infrastructure, energy, private equity, credit and insurance and have also expanded into private wealth.

In recent years, we have continued to grow our presence in Japan across our businesses. In real estate, this includes three transactions across mixed-use, logistics and office assets. In addition, Brookfield Wealth Solutions has entered the Japanese market through reinsurance agreement.
