Britannia is based on the table-top board game and maintains its look and feel. Britannia is a turn-based Risk-like war game that reproduces the Dark Age invasions of Britain. It is played through sixteen rounds, starting at Roman times and ending at the Norman conquest. Seventeen nations, ranging from the Jutes to the Norwegians, each arrive at the coast of Britain, and are tasked with conquering and settling certain regions. When these nations occupy their objective regions during particular game rounds, they earn victory points, and the player controlling the nations with the most victory points wins.
