Update on things

So yeah, I haven't updated this in a while (if anyone even still follows me on here). So I'm posting the things I do update, so you can follow me there. I'm not sure if I'll ever update my lj again, not that I hate lj or anything, but it's become easier to do Facebook and Tumblr, so that's what I do. Take care, everyone!

1. Yesterday was my 10 year anniversary with my partner snowtigra

3. Our kitchen in the house is ALMOST DONE, we should have appliances in 10 days!

Dear Grell. Please to NOT be giving me anymore ideas. You make them sound easy when they are, in fact, NOT! Still, I love you much, and hope to have this done by Geekkon (actually by tomorrow so I can finish other things).

I'm not lj cutting because it's not that big of a picture, but this is at about the halfway point. I suppose this is a literal translation of Grell? Sort of like those literal trailers on youtube except I'm not nearly as clever ^^;;; It's all pencil and colored pencil. Debating on whether I should write in the color of Grell's eyes or just color them in a solid color. Hmmmm.....

Persona Persona Persona

Apparently there's going to be a 2D Persona FIGHTING GAME on the PS3 and 360 made by the creators of effing BlazBlue. Um... I didn't realize I needed something so much, but apparently I do because: *FANGASM* I'm wondering about, out of all things, character move sets. Like I bet Yosuke is a cheap son of a bitch with fast combos that piss you off ^^

There's also going to be a Persona 4 port on the Playstation Vita. Damnit Atlus. I was trying NOT to buy the Vita, but I suppose the port won't be out for a while probably so I've got time to frown at the Vita and glare at it and hiss at it then finally buy it at a price drop or something like that because I'm a sad gamer like that. I mean it looks cool, but I'm terribly worried that it'll be like, you know, all of Sony's other handhelds where they have a couple of cool games and... that's it, because they forget it exists and focus on the PS3 or something *coughcough* PSP *coughcough* Or, even worse, the PSP GO which was just a disaster and not worth anyone's time... not even Sony's, who kept coming out with new PSP 3000 bundles and not even touching the Go. I guess time will tell.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to drool over the fact that Naoto and Kanji will be kicking ass in a fighting game by a great fighting game company.

A quick one before going to work. Still working on the house and have began the process of painting the "Geek Room," where all of our movies, games, manga, artbooks, and general geeky things will go. I'll post pictures soonish, but so far we have Tetris blocks on the side of the closet, Sonic the Hedgehog inside the close, and the Konami Code above the door (for those who don't know it, it's 2 Up 2 Down Left Right Left Right B A Start). All of this stuff is hand drawn/painted on the walls because, well, it's our house so we can :) The kitchen is still in progress and hopefully will be done after Geek.kon, we still don't have any appliances and are living with a microwave and mini fridge. Needless to say, we've gone out to eat a LOT, but that's starting to get old. Fortunately we have friends who don't mind us coming over for dinner and stealing their washer and dryer until we get our own stuff in a few weeks.

Still getting ready for Geek.Kon in like, a week (AH!) and have been sketching things like crazy. I'm trying really hard not to have too much Black Butler since its my new obsession, but... I'm kinda failing. Have sketched out a Ronald Knox coaster, Grell mirror, and an Undertaker wood block thing. I've done other things too of course, like a Tardis coaster (cuz making Doctor Who things is SMART) and a companion cube coaster (cuz I <3 Portal) and... yeah. I think I need to buy a new woodburner since the old one is packed away in a box somewhere >.<

Working like crazy because it's manager's conference time so all of them are off to Vegas for a few days. Madden comes out today (whoo?) so that should be fun(?), but when I'm not working I'm making stuff for Geek.kon because, again, it's in a week (GYAH!) If you're going there, feel free to say hello, I'll be at the table probably sketching something or being a general spaz.

For future reference, buying a house a month before a convention is not the best idea in the world ^^ still love the house though :) especially since at some point we can get a PUPPY!

And now, new writing ventures! No more mania.com, my wonderful editor who use to do AoD then moved to mania has now left and does the Fandom Post, found here: www.fandompost.com/ I'll probably be doing some game write ups, maybe some anime (oh who am I kidding, probably most definitely) and I started a new article segment called, "Is it worth the Hype," where I look into a game or something and find out if it's worth all of the hype it's getting. Sometimes... people change in a way that makes you feel an overwhelming amount of happiness. Friends who know me know that her (her being kitten of course) parents haven't always been cool with us, but today they offered to help us with the downpayment for the house we want. They offered without us even asking. I couldn't do anything but cry :)

... because everyone seems to have facebook now, lol. But anyhow, I spent a good portion of my time after Detour looking for a car, and today it happened. My precious Matt (yes, Death Note reference, because I'm a dork) was able to come home with me *__*

To all the people who gave me rides around Minnesota, to cons, and all that for the past 3 years thank you very very much. But now, I shouldn't need that anymore :) But now we can all just meet up and hang out, lol!
