meet 2026 person of the year bob dwyer
Bob Dwyer was hired by the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in 2006 to serve as the Executive Director. His goal was to turn the Museum back from the edge of closure which the Board of Directors was considering.
Twenty years later, Bob did more than turn the Museum back from closure: he elevated the Museum to be a world class facility with stable finances, dedicated members and volunteers and a professional staff. He also established working relationships with both local, regional and national organizations that brought in new exhibits, programs and interests.
Bob retired in December 2025 and is now looking at what his next steps will be! Read his story in this year’s Best of Brewster magazine.

Amy Chesnut bought Brewster by the Sea Inn in 2016, a life-long goal she had after spending summers on Cape Cod. The visitor center that used to be in Town Hall is gone, and the Brewster Chamber of Commerce has moved its information resources to Lemon Tree Village! Our Information Kiosk on the second floor above Woodworks Gallery has all of the information you need to plan your Cape Cod summer. We include guidebooks and magazines from neighboring towns as well as rack cards, brochures and menus for our local BCC Members.
