About the project
Dailer is an ambitious Ukrainian startup building a smart, AI-powered calendar that brings together scheduling, notes, reminders, and an intelligent assistant to help people manage their time more effectively.
Our goal is to create more than a tool for booking meetings. We want a calendar that understands how people work and adapts to their routines and priorities.
The product has been in development for about a year and has recently launched on the App Store. We are now focused on improving the core experience and introducing new features.
You will join a small team of eight working on a B2C productivity app at the MVP stage, where each person has a real influence on the product. The team includes a Python developer, AI developer, frontend engineers (React and React Native), QA, a project and product manager, a designer, and two co-founders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services for the application
- Design and implement REST APIs for mobile and web clients
- Integrate third-party services and APIs (calendar providers, external services)
- Work on AI feature integrations (LLM APIs and related services)
- Improve backend performance, reliability, and scalability
- Collaborate closely with the frontend developer, AI engineer, and product team
- Take ownership of features from idea to production
- Cover the code with Unit tests
- Follow the schedule and give an approximate estimation for features
- Take part in grooming sessions and story decomposition
Requirements
- 3+ years of commercial experience with Python
- Experience with FastAPI
- Solid understanding of REST API development
- Experience working with MongoDB and Redis or other non-relational databases
- Experience working with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
- Experience integrating third-party APIs
- Understanding of async programming in Python
- Experience with Docker
- Experience working with Git
- Ukrainian (Upper-Intermediate or higher) and English (Intermediate or higher)
