Wow, looks like we got a whole lotta new guys floodin' in when the school year started!

Well okay, better introduce myself, the name's Mac. I box. I like to train to box. I'm a junior this year. Anythin' you need to be askin', you can ask away!

Just not for a couple days or so next week cuz I'll be outta town.

[He is also on the football team that has probably wiped your ass on the fiel-I mean.]

[Those who might have been going near or to his dorm for whatever reason would notice he has been PACKING. Packing for what, exactly? Well...do you wanna find out?]

I dunno 'bout you guys, but all this nice n' quiet we've been havin' makes me wanna go out and seriously do somethin' fun! It's summer after all! Maybe it's good to go on a trip or somethin'.

Come to think of it, maybe it's a good thing to ask since my champ match is gonna be soon so I'll be busy with trainin' in a little while. [NERVOUS NERVOUS.]

Anyone know any good tourist spots? Nothin' real flashy or expensive. Just a place to unwind a little and see things. Been wantin' to see places these days. I've got some ideas but havin' some other opinions around's okay, right? And I won't turn down company either.

[HE NEEDS TO FIGHT OFF THE BAD KIND OF NERVOUS AND NOT THE EXCITED KIND. CAN YOU. SEE THAT?]

46 Action // Voice

Mac was tired, smelled like garbage (much like everything else), but better than before, yes. With the chicken menace gone and people not being stone anymore, Mac was ready to take it easy and finish school.

The moment he felt at ease and had just returned to his dorm after a while, his phone rang. What? Weird, it wasn't anyone in his contacts. Maybe it was N letting him know he got back to campus okay? He was quick to answer.

"...Hello?"

An angry sounding person was on the other end. Oh no. He recognized that angry voice anywhere. And why the hell does he call him? Mac knows the guy hates his guts. Aran Ryan started to spew his usual nonsense. Mac begged the question why he hadn't changed his number or something...or just ignored strange calls.

"What do ya want, Ryan?" Mac spoke to him in an bored tone. Clearly, he wasn't in the mood for his crap.

What started in an angry mocking rage that Mac was so close to the champ title, saying comments like "he was just lucky" turned into something else. Ryan requested a rematch. Rematch? Why? Aran Ryan started to share his usual angry rage of insults. For a while, Mac toned him out. Then he said something that did strike a nerve. Some of Mac's friends were in the front row and watched his match. According to Ryan, he wouldn't have lost if they hadn't distracted him.

"Listen here, pal," Mac started to say. "Ain't their fault if they thought you were a cheatin' scumbag. Don't drag 'em into this..." Mac was not willing to have someone stupidly insult people he liked for their own follies. Aran Ryan wanted a rematch to prove it? Mac was above this stupid thing, but he wasn't letting this slide. "Fine, you want me to prove it? You got your rematch. Fine. Sure. Next weekend. Plenty of time to get ready."

Mac clicked the phone off and rubbed his temple. Ugh, the kind of people he dealt with. Not all boxers played fair game, it pained him to think. But maybe Aran Ryan needed to be taught a lesson in fair game and fair fight. Mac was willing to do that. But there were more important things to worry about right now. Mac got on his computer.

Hey, how's everyone doin' now? Other than maybe smellin' like a dumpster. Cuz everythin's smellin' like a dumpster right now. [Oh god, Raiden. Raiden was the janitor, oh shi-]

Nobody's stoned anymore? [EVERYONE'S PRIVATES ARE IN TACT?]

I know that junk the chicken blob thing left behind seemed to do the trick. All ya need then is a few showers and loads of perfume, hahaha...Anyway, to those who fought that thing? Tried to help people out? Give yourself a few pats on the back, cuz you really deserve it, okay?

On the 3rd of this month, something had happened. And it goes without saying that the whole thing affected Mac physically ALMOST as much as it did emotionally. He was conflicted.

Mac's psyche during the whole fight was battling him. He didn't want to hurt Char, he understood him. He understood the anger he had. Mac hadn't meant to hurt Oak and the Charizard, he couldn't control himself when he was that monster. But that was still probably no excuse. You can't beat around the bush with family, Mac knew that. Mac was sentimental that way. Messing with loved ones makes people angry, Mac knew ALL of that. But it was the matter that Ashley turned him into something that destroyed his better judgment. Mac would never had hurt innocents. Ever. He only fought for sport with those who wanted it. Or when it came to defense. Even if Oak demanded Char to beat him up, could he be angry at him? No, of course not. He couldn't bring himself to. Like he couldn't bring himself to put his fists up and fight his own conscience to throttle Char back.

So here he was. The day after going to get checked at the hospital. All banged up and lying in his dorm. His worse injuries will heal, of course. And nothing a jacket couldn't cover up. But he was badly bruised as well beyond what clothes could cover. He'd be a walking disaster. People would ask him what had happened. Mac wouldn't be able to tell anyone, not even remotely willingly. People would get the wrong idea, Mac feared. He didn't want anything else to befall Char especially. In his eyes, Char did no wrong. Funny, Mac had just started getting better about being more open to his problems...and here he was hiding it again. Mac didn't leave his dorm much, not until his bruises went away at least. He just hoped Jake wasn't minding this too much. Mac did leave to go get something to eat but then he was back in his dorm. No weightlifting. No training. Nothing. Mac was too injured to do those things right now. There was a huge lack of the usually cheerful boxer that was eager to train and attend classes. He refused to tell anyone of this. Especially...say...Bulba. Or Max. Or Knuckles. Or...anyone. He had been avoiding people for the most part.

But his door was not locked.

[Eventually, Mac did get up to do something he knew he had to do. By Char's dorm, there was a note. Along with a few Hyper Potions and...a hot hamburger.]

I'm sorry.

- Mac

43 [A Very Public Video] Sometime after the threading with Bob

[Eventually, Mac had enough strength to do something he had to do. Saying Mac felt guilty was an understatement, and he was holding in every fiber to make sure he didn't leave the school for a while after he did this. When you do something bad, you have to have the courage to face the problem and fix it. Even if it wasn't your fault. Mac was no coward. Here he was. He was, once again, making a post showing himself in kinda bad shape. He didn't look necessarily beaten up, he was mainly pale and tired. He might've been a little sick. But he also looked bad as if he was seriously guilty of something and he wanted to say a bunch of things.]

Hey.

I'll, uh, I'll cut to chase...

Whoever saw that big dumb ape the past couple of days.

Y-yeah...that was me...

I don't know how to explain everythin' 'cause I don't remember all of it. But I remember enough.

I wasn't all myself then, I know that. I swear to you guys that that ain't gonna happen again either. That was the only time that's happened to me and I'm gonna make sure it stays that way. It wasn't natural.

I have a feelin' I did some things real bad to some of you. Or scared you. For that I'm...well, I dunno if sayin' "sorry" is gonna quite cut it. I just...y'know if you got hurt or anythin', tell me about it and I'll do whatever I can to make it up to you.

...That's all...

[[OOC: Just because this post is here, doesn't mean you still can't jump in the log if you want to. It's still open for shenanigans!]]

42 - [VIDEO]

[Hello, again, Smash Academy. But not in the AU variety. Mac is here on video, but not in his dorm. It looks like he's in a hospital. That isn't all. Mac looks very banged up. So banged up that his left eye is so black and swollen...you probably can't tell if he can really even see. See Mac just won his #1 spot. But...just barely. It was by decision. His missing days left him distracted and confused and that nearly cost him the match. He had gotten some lectures from Doc, "blah blah you're head's not in the game blah blah FREAKIN' CHAMP TITLE NEXT SON blah blah blah focus". Mac couldn't tell him that he LOST A WEEK OF HIS LIFE. So he sucked it all in. But now he has the double worries of missing days and upcoming freakin' CHAMP TITLE BOUT. But he will not mention that right now...So here he is, with that little nervous smirk like he was guilty of something.]

...Hey guys...

Sorry that I kinda left. I got called to rush over for a bout. Had my phone off and no way to get to a computer for days. But hey...I won the fight! I should be back in a few days!

[He leaned in closer.]

But man, I got somethin' weird...This might sound real dumb, I dunno. But ya ever feel like the past few days were a huge blur? I'm serious, I can't remember a whole week of my life!

41 - LATE THURSDAY EVENING TO FRIDAY MORNING - The Battle of the Macho Nacho Man

What was real anymore? All this stuff about Brock, Max, and Raiden...nothing was making any sense. Mac had laid down in his bed Thursday night, his Pokemon scattered around the room. Rocky was making use of the small punching bag. Ray was reading some reading some magazine in the corner...Yeah, he knew how to read. Poli and Kipper were asleep near the other bunk. Then there was Thundra snoozing right next to Mac. No other activity was going on other than that. Besides the noises of Rocky punching the bag, they were all really silent. After talking with Brock, Mac had been doing more and more thinking. His wound from Raiden's sword was now a big scar on his shoulder but just about everything was bugging him...including that. Was he supposed to be different? Did everyone here know a different Mac? Mac knew some people differently too. And those news reports?...Mac closed his eyes and took a breath. Then he sat upright on his bunk. "Chu?" said a concerned Thundra. The sudden voice alerted everyone. But no other words were said.

Mac took a look at his team. There was no way he would deny this was real. His team was here, he was here. Nothing to it. Right? Mac smiled. He loved his team. He really did. He didn't regret a thing. "Just sayin' maybe it's a good idea to turn in for the day. Get up bright n' early the next day." They all agreed. Whatever problems were gonna get sorted out. They were. Mac went to sleep with that thought.

---

Mac awoke the next morning, around 3AM to the sound of a cellphone. Not a Pokegear. Cellphone. And Mac was alone. No loving team of Pokemon spread out in the room. Or scar on his shoulder. Mac just had the craziest dream, did he? He quickly but grudgingly went to answer the phone. He didn't see the caller ID, was too groggy.

"...H-Hello?"

"KID, WHERE YOU BEEN??" Familiar Man had yelled out. This sent a jolt in Mac. "D-Doc?? Doc, it's 3AM! What's wrong?"

The man on the other end calmed down. "Been tryin' to reach you all day, kid! C'mon, that's what you have cellphones for!" Mac was fully awake now. "Sorry, musta been too busy. Guess I just ain't been around my phone too much," His memory was foggy. "...What's up, now?"

He heard Doc groan. "Kid, you got a match tomorrow! Macho Man got fed up of waitin' and demanded you show up! They big shots finally gave in and have been givin' me trouble about it all day so I've been tryin' to get to you!"

Mac then shot up from bed! "What?? Oh geeze...oh geeze!!" Mac scurried to get his duffle bag and started throwing clothes and random belongings in it. "I-I'll be in the next flight over...oh geeze!" After sharing some hurried goodbyes, Mac rushed out of campus. Not even having enough time to check on the network or anything, he would do that later when he had the time. He'd apologize a million times for disappearing like he did. He was off.

Since he had no Pokegear anymore, for some reason it would say his gear number was unavailable...hmmm...and phone was off until AFTER the match...Oops.

40 - AU in ACTION (dis is an action post)

[Hello AU Land that is Smash Academy. Have you seen this boxer kid lately? Have you been near the stadium lately? Well if you ever went by there in your AU or not AU self, you would see a kid training with the usual pink. Doesn't sound so different does it? Well, it is.

He's not training alone. With him are his teammates. His partners. They are doing various exercises like jogging, push-ups, lots of punching practice, and the like. With Mac is another boxer, a big blue thing with fists, a big flaming guy, a shroom, an ape that looks like he's going to eat your face off, and an adorachu.

He also smells of Saffron and Fighting Dojo guy if you ever smelled that before in your Pokemon adventures. Wanna say hi to him? Visit his Pokes as well? Be a douchebag? Have a short Pokemon Battle? Short spar? Go on ahead! He'll be open to anything (however, you douchebags are all douchebags). And he's sweaty along with his trained fighters. Awesome. Maybe the Pokemon will say "hi" to you as well. He'll be here everyday of the week with the mons until he snaps out of it.]

Are you doin' okay?

[He's still pretty worried holy jeezbus.]

I owe you an explanation.

CHRISTMAS 2010 - GIFTS

[Despite the goings on, Mac still totally went to buy gifts. This was the reason why he was happy for the check he got after the Bald Bull fight. On Christmas morning, you would find poorly wrapped presents (if it's too big, it's not wrapped derp), made from love, that is signed from Mac to you.]

Max: A mini fridge for the many manly sports drinks. And a nice tank top that he made sure would fit you.

Pit: A little basketball stand and hoop, with a ball. The ones that would be perfect for your room. If Jeff doesn't like it there...well, poop on him. And chocolate.

Jake: A new mp3 player! And a nice little speaker set to blast in in the dorm room.

Daisy: A necklace. And a shiny new soccer ball.

Lyra: The greatest boxing gloves known to mankind. And a box of chocolates.

Vinnie: He knows you guys just met but he had to get you something to cheer you up. He thinks you're cool, plus what other guys wears pink openly like you do. He doesn't know many. So you get a pink (like a salmon color) hoodie with a skull on the back...that was very hard to find.

Lash: You are very hard to shop for Lash...But he tried. You get a box set of a season to a show you like (insert show here) and a pair of good winter boots.

Erika: A vase made from pottery (he found a garden place to buy it of course). It's big enough that it's good for a desk or something. And a box of chocolate.

Misty: A blue bike helmet with a wave design on it! And a fruit basket.

Raiden: A shiny new video game (insert game title here), looked like it was a new release. And an iTunes (or what the SBG riff is called) giftcard.

Falcon: A cool new pair of shades. And a box of chocolate.

Bulba: A pair of snow boots and a white tanktop.

Kirby: You are a severe lover of food, Kirby, so he got you some seriously cool looking lollipops. And a box filled with chocolate bars (like last year, he had to make sure Doc couldn't get his mitts on it).

Spinarak: A little diary book and a cute little handbag.

Knuckles: A punching bag that's good for your dorm and a fruit basket!

Kumatora: A new camo style hoodie and a rocking wristband.

Giovanni: An geode with amethyst and some chocolate.

Parakarry: A new mailbag and a box of chocolate.

Andy: A red sweater and a few wrenches.

ROB: A punching bag and a trampoline!

Football Team: Everyone gets a big huge basket filled with both fruits and chocolates!

Euphie: He only met you once...and you are a cat. It was hard to shop but he got you a big box of poffins.

[As promised, Mac's gift to Raikov won't be given until the Soviet New Year...which is also Mac's birthday, haha.]

Okay, guys. This is gettin' nuts.

What those Pokemon did sendin' Mr. Volgin in the hospital may be wrong, very wrong. (He had yet to talk to the Pokemon himself about this. He doesn't exactly remember the "black Charizard" or the "large blue frog friend". And he would like to one day.) But it ain't somethin' to make all Pokemon seem bad.

Sure, it got really outta hand but we people can be scummish too. Heck, if ya lived in a big city, you hear people doin' scummish things all the time. But there are good people too as well as there's good Pokemon and animals. Especially here in the school. I know a lotta nice animals and Pokemon that walk around like us. In fact, all the ones I know are nice. And if ya ask me, they got every right to walk around and do the same things we do without people breathin' down their necks and threatenin' leashes on 'em. People get mad and rage on folks too, and you don't see US gettin' treated like this.

Mac was happy to learn that Aran Ryan wasn't around for the events and he didn't have to deal with him this time around. But he did have an awesome Thanksgiving with Doc and his mother (...why did he call her "Granny" Louis?). They let Mac crash in their place instead of getting a hotel room this time around. For the reasons that it was expensive to keep doing that, and most hotels close by were taken by holiday tourists. They had the usual stuff; a turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, yams (he really made sure he had those yams, Knux, seriously), and chocolate cream pie (oh Doc). All made by Granny and Doc though, Mac was never even supposed to get near the kitchen. "Kid might burn your house down! And I ain't letting him get near that chocolate." he had said. And it caused Mac to groan and for Granny to tell them both to settle down. The meal was pleasant of course and Mac had a lot to catch up to do with Doc; telling him all the great things about the school.

He hadn't backed down on his training, he said. Which was the truth. He told him about how his friends were doing and the new friends he'd made. And that he was even holding a boxing session with a few students and teachers. Doc was proud, mainly because he's teaching what he'd taught him. Mac was growing up, Doc realized. He'll always probably be a "kid" to most but he's grown in a happier young adult.

Friday, Doc and Mac didn't go near the main districts in the city. Black Friday shoppers in New York are...well nuts. They trained in their gym most of the day, bringing leftovers for food breaks. And they returned to the house in the evening.

And Saturday night was the big night, Mac was going to fight to get a higher place in the final leg to Champ. Mac walked in with confidence he was going to do good out there. And as always, he was giving it all a hundred and ten percent. He was going to try his best out there. Which reminded him that his closest friends were all probably sitting down in the common room right now taking over the TV watching him. He hoped he wouldn't disappoint.

<lj-embed id="3" />

...If Mac wasn't the entertainer...Bald Bull probably was. Was a special case this guy was.

He didn't get the idea that Mac was punching him where it hurt and he just got angrier every time he did it. He threw so many hard punches even though he let his temper get the best of him. And his temper certainly did get the best of him, seriously.

Of course, Mac and Doc celebrated afterwords. Mac was a little sore, but he returned Sunday. But he didn't post until Monday, he got back to the dorms real late. He had preparing for the class ahead of him, but he gave himself just a moment to ease the pain he had.

Man, I'm beat...but looks like I'm back in one piece! How was everyone's Thanksgiving?

Well, looks like the WVBA is havin' some kind of special Thanksgiving weekend thing and there's a lotta matches goin' on. Doc called me and said I got scheduled for a match for Saturday, so he said I oughta shove off today. I'll be spendin' Thanksgiving there then. I should be back on Sunday or somethin'.

So I'll be competin' for Rank #2! Fightin' against Bald Bull!
33 - AND SO IT RETURNS - Mac teaches things??

[Hey guys, so some people may remember that one time when Mac had a class where he taught people boxing. Mac liked doing it a lot. And he hoped you did too. Well. He said he might do it again so he's DOING IT AGAIN. But this time, he's gonna...try, to be more organized about it. So there's a list hanging around for people to sign their name so he knows who's coming and just how many people are gonna participate in this anyway. Snooping snoops don't have to sign, you guys can be creepers. He currently has this signed up for happening the week after Thanksgiving. So sign yer names if your interested in this thing, dudes.]

[So yes, the past couple weeks have made Mac totally go backwards.
26 - Belated Trippin' of the Balls
Mac went walking back from the cafeteria after eating a rather delicious mushroom pasta. During this adventure, Mac felt himself getting rather dizzy in the head. At that moment, Mac tumbled on his feet. He landed on the ground on his knees, holding his head. What was going on? Mac’s vision became distorted once he opened his eyes. He was still on school grounds…was he? His mind was going all over the place…He lifted his head and was welcome to another world of color and imagery. Eventually...a city was seen.

A city? How did he get in a city? Funny, it looked strangely like…

“W-what?”

Mac got up to see he was in front of his old house. His old house in the Bronx, New York. It was there right in front of him in all of its dumpy, old glory. Well, it was a rather rough place, the Bronx. And as far as Mac’s memory and life was concerned, the house was just a place he never visited again after he had to find another place to live. His hallucinations however, made him recollect the smell of lavender. He did manage to sell it, only to hear that the folks moved out fast.

Ma…always loved lavender…she had a garden… Mac thought to himself. A quick look directed him to a garden bed that surrounded the house. Eventually, the bed of lavender grew larger. A whole field of lavender appeared. It seemed to cover the streets and surround the other houses in the old neighborhood. This was horrible…what was going on??

This just couldn’t be real, he walked closer to the house to see for himself. Just then, though, a car came screaming through the empty streets. “…Jeez!” Mac quickly jumped out of the way, landing face down.

Then the sweet smell of lavender disappeared and was replaced with the smell of burning fuel and metal. The car had crashed into a nearby pole and became totaled. The car was scrunched like an accordion. Mac’s eyes widened. He was dreaming. He accidently fell asleep doing homework and he was having a nightmare. He started to shake in his spot, still on the ground.

No…no! Mac’s eyes started to swell a little. This was like…

Suddenly, the doors to the cars opened. Mac was totally silent.

Out of the car doors, walked out Mac’s parents. Only they looked injured. Bloody injuries and scratched and torn clothing.

They looked exactly like his parents. Ma had a short stature and always wore some simple dress and worse her long black hair down. His dad was much taller with much shorter dark hair and wore his work suit.

The woman spoke, “Mac, dear…what have you done?”

Why was she talking? This was just. No.

“W-whaddya mean?” Mac didn’t move.

“You became a boxer. We told you “no”, did we? Were we not clear enough?” Mac’s mom continued. The father spoke next. “Honey, don’t you remember? He’s a real stupid young man. Always was.”
Mac didn’t answer. He only listened.

“Oh yes, a disappointment. Weak, too. I wonder how he made it this far?”

Okay, he had to answer now. “I-I know you didn’t like boxin’. But it’s been my dream for so long and I went back to school and made friends. I wasn’t gonna turn down my life ‘cause you guys didn’t have any faith in the sport. I’m happy now with my life. I thought that woulda made ya happy too...” Mac tried to toughen up his voice as he tried to stand.

The dad spoke next. And Mac noticed that his dead parents didn’t move from standing a few feet away from him.“What were you tryin’ to prove, son? That it was possible, even for you? You couldn’t hit the broad side of the barn last time I saw ya.” They seemed to speak in an order, the mom continued. “Always short too. And clueless. And friendless, for the most part. I was so sick of seeing you come home all the time with a bloody nose and tears in your eyes.” Mac got angry and furrowed his brows. “That was years ago, Ma! I changed since then!”

They both laughed and both spoke together afterwords. “Did you really?”

“I did,” Mac said as his tone soften from a yell to a normal one. He wasn’t going to let his “parents” win. “I missed you…but I told myself that I wasn’t getting’ anywhere bein’ like that-“ Mac began to explain as he felt a tug on his shirt.

He looked down to see a small boy with a bloody nose and wet eyes. He looked like…Mac when he was younger?

“You hate me,” The Littler Mac said. “You really hate me.” Mac didn’t say anything again. “Don’t hate me, please…” The younger Mac started to cry.

“Look what you’ve done now,” the mother spoke. The father spoke after with a grave tone. “You think you’ve changed but you only really just denied your old self and your past. If ya only just died with the rest of us…”

He didn’t mean that. He didn’t. Mac felt nauseous as he continued to stand there.

[To those not under the influence, Mac is just standing there in total shock. If you try to talk to him, he might fall under emotional pressure when talking to you.]
