Started really strong and I loved the premise, centipedes are genuinely creepy and it had the potential to be a great creature feature.
Unfortunately the second half lost me and never reached the same level again.
I counted 100 legs
But I also counted way more than 100 reasons not to watch this movie

Die beiden Brüder Fame und Phil werden in einem Hotel in Thailand unter Quarantäne gestellt, als sie bemerken, dass Gäste auf unerklärliche Weise verschwinden. Die Vorfälle lassen sie an eine lokale Sage denken, nach der ein Monster in der Region leben soll, das seine Gestalt verändern und das Aussehen jedes Gastes annehmen kann. Neben Coronaviren, Insekten und einem ausgewachsenem Creature Feature haben wir es hier auch mit einer The Thing ähnlichen Ausgangslage zu tun. Somit ist auch die Paranoia nicht allzuweit…
Crawly; creepy.
Dentre todos os animais, as lacraias/centopeias sao as q me causam mais repulsa. Eu mato, mas tenho pavor desse bicho e tava faltando um filme sobre lacraias assassinas.
Assim...nao é horrivel, mas ta longe de ser bom. É bem feitinho, o cgi é ate bonitinho, mas falta algo a mais para deixar o filme mais interessante.
Gosto da ideia de "pessoas em quarentena num hotel infestado de lacraias", porem nao gosto da ideia de "lacraia gigante com poder de se transformar em pessoas". Isso tirou o foco dos animais e lá pelas tantas o filme me lembrou mais aquela serie Sweet Home do q de fato algo de terror.

The One Hundred or Creepy Crawly is a Thai creature feature that might even serve as a good depiction of the zeitgeist of the early 2020s in a few years' time. The film, which is very competently directed, is a genuine covid-19 production and depicts the subject matter both narratively and visually. Most of the actors wear protective masks, for example. Fittingly, however, there is another type of infection that spreads in a hotel in the film. This infects people according to the classic The Thing pattern and also plays with the corresponding tropes that developed at the time. It's not just the characters in the movie who wonder who can still be trusted in the building.

I really wanted to live this more than all the spider horror I've seen recently because it's giant freakin' centipedes, but the story feels half-assed, it has a whole sappy subplot line and some of the CG is real iffy. The creature design towards the end is cool though. I gotta say, all the transformations early in the movie gave me real strong Parasite Eve vibes.
Just once I wish these Asian creature-features didn't get so melodramatic. I just want to see the monster kill a bunch of unsuspecting humans, not see some treacly family drama play out in the middle of the action.
Anyway, the creative team behind this Pandemic-set movie clearly saw Venom when designing the centipede monster. The CGI was obvious yet not as bad as I was led to believe. No character is fleshed out too much, but as far as Asian creature-features go, it's hardly the worst. At least it's a grade higher (and bloodier) than the ones currently being put out by China.
