The International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights (FIFDH) Geneva Grand Prize for Documentary

The International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights (FIFDH) has been held annually in Geneva since 2003.

"The concept of the festival: a film, a subject, a debate has made it possible to establish a real dialogue between film makers, NGO members, academics and the public, all of whom are
preoccupied with the active defense of human rights."

"We hold a strong conviction that a film, a voice, or a story—be it conveyed by an individual or a group—has the potential to instigate a shift in consciousness, spark new ideas and commitments, and ultimately drive social change."

The festival awards several films in a few different categories. This is a list of what is considered the top award, which is for the best overall creative documentary.

*Note: in 2008 the Grand Prize was awarded to two films.
