The idea of artificial intelligence, or AI, is not a new one. It's not even technically a modern one with ancient myths of constructs being given life and sentience abounding, such as the Greek myth of the bronze giant Talos or the clay Golems of Jewish folklore. But of course, the modern understanding of AI would not arise until the birth of the first modern computers during World War II.
