Definitely the most calamitous wedding since the one in Wild Tales.
The Israeli actor gives an incredible performance - like, these are the kinds of whole-body tours de force that should be winning Oscars, but I guess impersonations of historic figures are always going to win the day on that score. In my mind, the 2016 Best Actor goes to Itay Tiran.
It's a highly unusual narrative - quite subtle, despite the subject matter (actually the second film about a Jewish ghost-demon I've seen in the last month or so - ref. The Possession). But besides the acting, it's worth watching for the cinematography alone. Wow, just sublime stuff.
Many won't like the ending, but I really dug it. This is worth looking up for true cinephiles with a passing interest in supernatural stories, but if you're looking for a stock standard haunting/possession story, you may not get what you expect.
