It's that time of year again where the summer is almost over - or it basically is anyway for us Brits - and Halloween is right around the corner. I was never huge on horror films growing up, but this film challenge has started to change all of that and the autumnal season of spooks is becoming one of my favourite times of the year. 

With all that being said, It's time for Cinemonster's 11th annual HoopTober (my 4th year in-a-row participating) in memory of the beloved Director, Tobe Hooper. R.I.P

All the films below are first time watches for me.
Once completed I will rank them in order from favourite to least.

THE RULES:
Rule 1: There must be 31 horror films spanning 6 countries/languages and 8 decades between them
Rule 2: watch ALL of the films from a horror franchise with at least 4 entries (if there is a hard reboot, you can choose whichever has 4+ that you prefer)
Rule 3: 1 film by Wes Craven
Rule 4: 1 film caused by/worsened by weather
Rule 5: 1 film starring a Black woman
Rule 6: 1 Donald Sutherland film
Rule 7: 3 films from New World Pictures
Rule 8: 2 Indian films
Rule 9: 4 Italian films
Rule 10: 2 Horror comedies
Rule 11: 2 films made primarily or entirely in Texas
Rule 12: 1 film that exists in at least 2 available cuts (you just have to watch one)
Rule 13: 1 Robert Wiene film
Rule 14: 1 Michele Soavi film
Rule 15: 1 film from 2011
Rule 16: 1 film from 1984
And finally, Rule 17: 1 Tobe Hooper Film (There must ALWAYS be a Hooper film)

This years' film choices span 11 decades, 7 different languages and a silent film for good measure.
