Back from a several year hiatus as a way to motivate myself to get back into a regular viewing schedule. I enjoy looking through the lists and seeing just how varied they are. I always thought this was a great idea for beginners to expand their horizons and for people who are maybe more familiar with Cinema to fill in some blindspots. There are a few odd categories, but mostly things that will help to widen their appreciation.
My picks are not in set in stone and could change depending on availability. Films arranged by week, not rating.
Edit- Top 5 favorites were:
1.) Raise the Red Lantern (1991)
2.) Evil Does Not Exist (2023)
3.) Demons [Shura] (1971)
4.) F for Fake (1973)
5.) The Wages of Fear (1953)
