The Last Gold: The Apocalypse at the Oscars

Apocalyptic fiction is one of the oldest genres of fiction, as even the oldest of mythologies and religions have end times stories. I will be considering a film as "apocalyptic" if it deals with either the coming end of the world and definitively includes the end of the world or "post apocalyptic" if it takes place in a world that has suffered an apocalyptic catastrophe of some kind with little remnants of society. These are the apocalyptic and post apocalyptic films that have been nominated for Oscars.
