the way i went from wondering what lulu wang is up to and then finding out that the lead in her new show is from usc and then googling obsessively on how to watch smoking tigers and failing and then becoming obsessed w shelly yoo and then watching this short film
A third act twist I expected to encounter from minute one of the film, especially the class divide that was being pushed to explore. The ending is so hauntingly beautiful, though.
Soft Sounds of Peeling Fruit is a drama romance type short film about a girl not being completely open about her living situation that runs into a conflicting surprise. The film touches on appearances, relationships/romance, and social situations seemingly in relation to class amongst other points. I think the acting partners fulfill the film well. As much detail as the film gives, a person may have to do a little background research for more potential context.
