Goes extremely hard as a one-take chamber play with only a single intentional cut in the entire film, and when I tell you that this cut is so good and so powerful, that it alone ascribes Rope the badge of being "well-edited", despite not being edited at all... that, my friends, is the story-telling power of editing. Hitchcock is a smug bastard behind the camera, and frankly he's earned the right. There is likely no era that this work willโ€ฆ

World Premiere

A reinforcement of the idea that men are terrifying, and rightfully so. Watcher makes a strong case for privacy blinds. I nearly chewed my hands off from the tension here. I can't imagine the fear and the paranoia of being stalked, and watching "strong" men attempt to tackle this issue with temporary bravado, empty threats, chest-puffing, etc. It perfectly displays what I can only imagine is the harrowing existence of being a woman in aโ€ฆ

i say this with zero hyperbole: i think that sorry, baby may be one of the best, if not,ย the best film about trauma that iโ€™ve seenโ€ฆ and iโ€™ve seen a lot! eva victor navigates her trauma with such a realism and such a pathos that, even as someone who cannot relate to her specific event, is absolutely picking up what she is putting down. this couldnโ€™t be more deserving of the waldo salt screenwriting awardโ€”the dialogue andโ€ฆ
