In the r/Letterboxd server I'm in, core film lists have become the big trend. I've sort of been unsure of making one because I wasn't sure how to define a "core" film for myself beyond the dozen of favorite lists I already have. But there is now an official tag for these lists so I gotta get into this trend.
The question remains how I'm going to define a "core" list beyond just my favorites. I've decided to make this list a mix of some of my all time consistent favorites, films that define my views on life, and films that have most influenced my own art. Some of these are on my Top 100. Some of them aren't. But…

The question remains how I'm going to define a "core" list beyond just my favorites. I've decided to make this list a mix of some of my all time consistent favorites, films that define my views on life, and films that have most influenced my own art. Some of these are on my Top 100. Some of them aren't. But all of these are films that make me think about myself and my own life, worldview, and artistic aspirations in a significant way.
And of course I've done my best to organize them by color because everyone else is doing it. Alas, I’m terrible at colors though.
