I agree with many of the middling reviews for this on here, and I definitely didn’t see the same movie as the people praising it. It’s extremely cheesy and cliché-ridden and the original songs are not very good.
However, it somehow worked for me and made me cry. I’m going to chalk it up mostly to Paul Rudd being really good in this role.
Fascinatingly, hilariously bad. Georgina Campbell really does her best, but every other aspect of this is almost charmingly incompetent. I like how the killer has the same stupid voice as the host of Trivia Murder Party.

Sadly, the poster on letterboxd is different from the one on Amazon Prime, which showed the tagline "ESCAPE TO THE FUTURE".
Once you figure out the premise of the film (which you can probably do about 15 minutes in), no information presented to the main characters is surprising, but it's consistently presented as huge revelations. The characters are all bland and rather dumb, and none of their reactions to any of the events of the film are believable.
