Never saw any of the OG He-Man cartoons from the 80s, but I am a big fan of the gay She-Ra reboot.
This isn't like the gay She-Ra reboot at all, but it's campy and fun. Love the animation-to-live-action costuming. Love how I can tell they used real sets and real props to bring this world to life. While a bit too long, it's clear that so much work went into this movie, and it shows.
Unfortunately, Jared Leto kind…
I do not care for The Mandalorian. I've never seen the Mandalorian TV show. And I do not care for Star Wars unless it involves Adam Driver or Manny Jacinto.
HOWEVER, I love that little green puppet so much. The only ever time I was somewhat engaged with this movie was whenever Grogu was on screen. LOVED the parts where it became a silent film about Grogu surviving on [Hutt planet, idk].
Never gonna think about this again. Can't wait to listen to Blank Check's episode about this film
Sink me!
There are some movies that transcend the needs for criticism. This is one of them.
The cocaine! The Regency accents! The gay love/hate sexual tension between Percy and Chauvelin! The finely tailored clothes! Jane Seymour! Chauvelin's cravat! The use of British accents everywhere although this movie really needed to distinguish between the French and English for this plot to make any sense! The aristocratic propaganda!
"Is he from heaven? Or is he from hell? That damned, elusive pimpernel."
An absolute masterpiece.
Fellas is it gay to want your vampire bestie to bite you on the coochie?
