The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences introduced the award for Animated Feature Film in 2002 (for films released in 2001). These are all the nominees and winners of the animated feature Oscar since the award was created.
A note that animated feature films have received Oscar recognition prior to 2002, just not in this category. The Academy has given special Oscars to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937), Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988) and Toy Story (1996). And Beauty and the Beast (1991) was nominated for Best Picture at the 64th Academy Awards. And animated features have received nominations in categories such as original song and score throughout the decades.
