I wanted to make a shortlist of my watchlist with 500 movies, including documentaries. There are too many movies that've been on my watchlist for ages for whatever reason, and when I'm not sure what to watch it'll help to keep this as a guideline instead of aimlessly going through streaming services.

500 is still a lot to choose from but it was already quite a task to narrow it down to this number.
This is not meant as a time-limit challenge, I don't want to limit myself to these movies, but nevertheless I'm curious to see how many of these I'll be able to scratch off at the end of the year.
However I’ll participate in the “Honey I Shrunk the Watchlist”-challenge, meaning at least 30 should be watched this year.
Only movies released in 2022 or earlier & no rewatches. 2023 and later is another (private) list because this list was mostly made at the end of 2023 and I didn't want to fill it with movies that weren't available yet.
Made list public on 2024-01-18.
Tried to categorize a bit which was quite a task aswel. The order might still change a bit but no movies will be added or removed (or at least not until 2025-01-01).
EDIT 2024-01-26: Replaced Straight Line with D.C. Cab because Straight Line is a compilation of TV-episodes... D.C. Cab is directed by Joel Schumacher too which makes it immediately more interesting aswel.
