My personal list of the top fifty film scores. Only films with music and/or songs written specifically for the films were considered, although I consider sequels to be exempt if there is a substantial enough expansion of themes introduced in the previous films as well as development of new themes.

The list is constructed as follows: the first ten are my top ten and are ranked as such, followed by the remaining forty which are in alphabetical order.
