★★★★ Rewatched

Decided a rewatch was in order after listening to Sunrise on the Reaping and realizing that enough time had passed between listening to that and watching the original The Hunger Games movies that I no longer remembered the story accurately. 

Good to go back to this and watch Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson compete in the 74th Hunger Games. This movie really has a fantastic cast when it comes to the supporting characters as well— Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci, Lenny…

Stalker
★★★★ Watched

I'm not going to pretend to understand Stalker—I don't. Tarkovsky's film is slow and contemplative, and I appreciated the observations it makes about life even when I wasn't sure I fully grasped its meaning. In many ways, its ambiguity feels less like a flaw and more like part of its appeal, inviting reflection rather than offering easy answers.

Gave Hoppers a second shot as I didn’t like it as much as I’d hoped when I saw it the first time, and I wanted to give this a fair second shot when it got onto Disney+. This second shot just solidified my thoughts about it— cute and fun, but it doesn’t quite achieve that Pixar level of greatness.
