Ok, making a real effort to get this right in 2023… I always fail by trawling the depths of my watchlist and end up with too many duds or non-scaries that I lose interest and return to my usual pattern of watching Friday the 13th and Hubie Halloween.
So! This year I tried to source better titles from reliable sources…Slant Magazine lists, people I follow, etc. And I ran each title through a little litmus test of LBXD followers — if my core homies here didn’t approve, it got axed. “I will begin as I did the last nine(!) years: I would like to do 31 horror films in October, but that doesn't seem possible at the moment so I will start my 31 on September 15th.
-I WILL REVIEW THEM ALL (I really mean that). Those of you not new to the LB block know that horror is near and dear to my heart.
-I challenge anyone to do the same and use the TAG HoopToberX so we can read each others stuff.
-If you are going to do it, list your link to YOUR list in the comments and i will add it to the intro to help others find your list.”
