It's the best damn time of the year again, isn't it? Time for Hooptober, the time of year when all the crustiest and craziest, the brightest and best of the horror lovers come out of their caves and coffins to watch, review, discuss, and log a shit load of horror films in the spookiest month of the year, October. We are on the road to Samhain my witches and warlocks! I started working on my list weeks ago and even started watching some of the films on my first draft list, because typically every year recently I fall short of 31 films in 31 days because of life and work, but this year I think I actually have the free time and drive to do it, so this list has been modified and updated and it is primo and ready to go and we are LIVE ("FUCK IT, WE'LL DO IT LIVE!"), I'm going for it man. This will be the ninth Hooptober for me as I missed out on the initial one, and man do I love this crazy wonderful thing @Cinemonster has created (IT'S ALIVE!!!) As per usual I try to knock off the highest average rated films on my horror watchlist that I haven't seen and apply to the criteria for this year's marathon (which you can find HERE) in Cinemonster's original post, so almost all of these are either first time watches or films I haven't logged in the wild 9 and a half years I've now been on this beautiful site, so films I haven't seen in at least a decade.

This should be a great one, and why?
