So I’ve been familiar with Hooptober for a while now but this is the first year I’m actually taking the plunge and participating. Over the past year I’ve finally started watching horror movies frequently and that really got me wanting to try this out. It’s not like I need a reason to watch a bunch of movies but this tradition seemed like a great way to maybe discover some new favorites and watch some movies I might not have glanced at otherwise! I begin on the first of October, I need a month of pure nonstop horror.

Afterwards: So, I really fell off my streak in the last week and only ended up getting to 28/31. Black Sabbath, Alucarda, and Invaders From Mars were three of my most anticipated watches which makes it especially disappointing. Still, I really enjoyed doing this challenge and I’m ready to try again next year!
