This is a list of my 100 favorite film quotes of all time. This is an ever changing list, but this is the list as of December 2025.
I followed a few self imposed rules here. The first is only one quote per film in order to have 100 films by the end. Second, the quote cannot be a character quoting something else, so for example Laura's speech at the end of Logan doesn't count since that's a quote from Shane. This list was first made in December of 2023. For this revision of the list, a total of 17 quotes dropped out from the original. The highest ranking film to drop was from Interview with the Vampire from 22. Of the films that joined in, the highest ranking one is The Fountain (10). 15 of the 17 films to join were first time watches since December 2024.
The newest film on this list is Little Amélie or the Character of Rain (25). The oldest film on this list is The Dying Swan (62).
12 films have kept their placement with the highest being Babylon (1) and the lowest being The Tragedy of Man (96). The film that moved down the most spots was Nimona (63) which moved down 37 spots. The film that moves up the most spots was The Night of the Iguana (75) which moved up 18 spots.
