INSANE animation, but the content is a bit too 'We live in a society' for my taste.
Someone please help I don’t understand is he saying phones are bad is Alberto trying to say that kids these days use their phones too much someone anyone please explain this to me I found it very hard to get is it that the point of this short guys I can’t get it what is the
the rotoscope animation and cinematography are OUT OF THIS PLANET. so beautiful. vibes are immaculate. as of the narrative i think they threw in more than they could handle. feels like random meditations on love and modernity but relatable ones at the same time, mixed in in a messy way. despite that, overall is such a vibe that suit a late afternoon or a sunday morning existential feeling. loved it.
the whole time all i could think was "i bet this director makes NFTS" and you'll never guess what :)
Maybe the best word for this film is ugly. The animation style is visually ugly, and the bulk of the runtime is dedicated to portraying human behaviour that the filmmakers clearly think are ugly. More ugly than both is the judgmental, arrogant mindset of the filmmakers deciding these displays are ugly and levitating above us all while oh-so-ironically juxtaposing them with a framing device about the true meaning of love. The added element of modern technology playing such a major role makes everything feel like a bitter old faux-intellectual lecturing "kids these days" about why Tinder is destroying society. Back in my day, love was an overexposed montage of kids kissing on the street and old people in a graveyard scored with indie music!
By every metric, an ugly film.

The animation is beautiful, the whole time I knew I recognised it from somewhere and then I realised it was made by the director of a few episodes of Love Death and Robots.
However I feel like the narrative was pretty bog standard, very surface level stories that you’ve probable seen or heard a hundred times before.
This is sick and unique animation, but I didn't really like the vignette style. And yes it is the year of our lord 2022, we all know technology drives us apart, I'm so tired.
