Stories of sexual minorities from across the globe. Your queer cinema passport. A noteworthy LGBTQ+ feature film** from every country from which I can find one. Most of these are available to see somewhere online if you look hard enough, but there are a few that seem to have vanished from the world.

Sorted by continent/region and then by country. Check out the notes for info about the legal situation in all of these countries. Sources were HRW and Wikipedia. Countries that maintain the death penalty as punishment for same-sex conduct are: Brunei, Iran, Mauritania, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Uganda, Yemen.

**My preference is for feature-length, narrative films that were produced by the country in question and which are available for streaming. Where such thing does not exist for a given country, I may instead list short films, documentary films, or films produced internationally. For example And Then We Danced is listed for Georgia although it can be argued that this is a Swedish film, despite having been filmed in Georgia with and by Georgians and members of the Georgian diaspora.

For countries that have produced myriad queer films, I'm making an effort to pick something that feels like the best, most noteworthy, most representative, and/or most recent.

Think there's a better choice for some of these countries? Lmk and I'll consider it!

(I wasn't sure whether to include territories / protectorates like Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Greenland, Hong Kong, or Macao, but inclusion seemed the safest bet. Similarly I chose to include countries that no longer exist if there's a relevant movie that was made when they did exist; see East Germany and the USSR.)
