This list will eventually include the the cinema of the Soviet Republics up to the era of independence making that roughly a time span from 1963 to 2006. There will also be films from before and after this chunk to give some kind of historical context and an idea of where these countries are at this point in time.
Some of these are readily available in some countries through some kind of physical format so some are not as much a priority as others.
Please feel free to comment and make suggestions to add to the list. Eventually these films will be collected in one place to be watched by all who are interested. View the notes within the list for some of the download links that are currently available.
There's also a significant amount that has yet to be catalogued here on Letterboxd so that will be process too, adding these films to the database.
