Taking a page from @ScrambledFace, I'm going to add another round of the best, the worst, and the dumbest horror movies to my personal rota in the month of April, halfway between Hootopber 9 and Hooptober X: Jason Lives. Using Scrambled's revised criteria (below), I'll watch half of my Hoop 9 allotment, (which ended up at 39 films minus the bonuses which I didn't get to), a total of 20 films this April. I may round up to 22 to give all the criteria their own film, but we'll see.
The revised criteria:
• 3 countries
• 4 decades
• 1 insect centered film
• 1 horror film set in space or the future (relative to when it was released)…

• 1 horror film set in space or the future (relative to when it was released)
• 1 animated film
• 1 bloodthirsty old person/people film
• 1 1970s regional US film
• The worst horror sequel from the 1990s that you haven't seen and can access
• 1 German silent
• 3 films from: David Cronenberg, Ti West, Bill Rebane, Charles B. Pierce, William Grefé and/or Joy N. Houck Jr.
• 1 Christopher Lee film
• 1 film with a musician or band in it
• 1 Stephen King adaptation that is not the first go around
• 1 Lon Chaney film
• And 1 Tobe Hooper film
• Review them all!
I'm watching them in the completely arbitrary order they're listed in below, just to keep me on track. I'll also adhere to the short reviews stipulation (the half length reviews to accompany the half birthday of Hooptober).
That's about it. I plan to use this month to do one of my favorite things (watch crappy, interesting movies), while also revisiting some old favorites that I've not reviewed on here. This means that yeah, these will not all be first time watches. But it's the thought that counts. Check in with me on Oct 1 for at least 31 fresh, never before seen by me horrors in Hooptober X: Jason Takes Manhattan.
