Check out that poster... I had to watch this. In Inhuman Kiss a krasue (kuyang) haunts a village in Thailand. A krasue (kuyang) is a woman who is normal by day but whose head separates and feeds on humans at night... oh and there are tentacles! The CGI is a little goofy but it contributes to the film's charm. This is a fun and sincere horror movie with good character development and interesting visuals that kept me engaged for most of the duration. Inhuman Kiss needs a tighter edit because it's just over two hours and needs to be an hour and forty-five minutes. The strength of the film is the third act, specifically the ending which totally rules.
Recommend to horror fans.
definitely longer than it needed to be but this was a good movie with a really beautiful story. i'm not going to spoil anything but just know that my heart is officially broken because of this. despite there being a lot more romance than actual horror, there's some pretty good gore and special effects in here too! i'm really impressed.
I realize that monsters do have feelings, too.
The poster is so fascinating when I saw it that's why I tried watching it and I never regret trying! Based on popular South East Asian folklore, a krasue (kuyang) is a half-human female ghost who lives a normal life like an ordinary woman during the daytime. But when night comes, her head will be detached from her body and float around looking for flesh and blood to consume. The movie is well-executed for me though I'm not familiar with the casts. Despite some flaws, the movie is enjoyable. Kuyang is my favorite ghost!
I'm not sure why anyone thinks these these krasue films need to be longer than ninety minutes. The emotional content in a floating intestine monster movie does not demand two hour running time. But all of the monster stuff here is GOOD. The ending is worth the wait. If you ever wondered if a male krasue was a thing, I'm here to tell you that it is and it is weird.
I do NOT recommend seeing this with Bruce Glover.

🥴🥺 ➡️ Sentimental folk horror from Thailand.
A sordid but tender love affair.
Its slow-pace doesn't prevent for more emotions.

🥴🥺 ➡️ Sentimental folk horror proveniente de Tailandia.
Sórdido pero tierno amorío.
Su lentitud no es impedimento para más emociones.
Too long and pretty predictable in its melodrama, it still has a good emotional beat, cool special effects, and a pretty wild finale.
The monster shines bright and this film shines even brighter. Congratulations to the filmmakers. I fucking love this film. What a win for Thai commercial cinema.
Expected a very terrifying movie about one of my favorite tales - Krasue - and got heartbreak instead. Heartbreak in every possible way.
This is a sad love story with great horror moments sprinkled on top. Prepare tissues!
oh fuck me man. this was so inevitably heartbreaking. i knew in my heart this would be tragic and yet im in tatters anyway. whoever you are in this situation, you're fucked. the lore of the krasue is beyond fascinating and i really enjoyed the solid, detailed telling of the story. the score was melodramatic but, like, tenfold; there isn't enough melo in melodrama to really emphasise the drama in it, but it works well for the movie which is very over the top at times. in fact, that third act is very over the top, and not always in a good way. i won't spoil it, but a certain stretch of it felt so out of place and would…
This started out extremely promising, not without some flaws, but interesting and tense and with a love-triangle that I wasn’t angry at... And then the final third started (after the film was already starting to run too long) and it became a big ridiculous CGI-heavy, Hollywood action-style mess... I’m actually bummed. I was really, really into this, not enough to consider it perfect, but not too far from it, and then...nah. And this is one of those situations where I started to think about how I’d doctor the script were I writing for it, but then remembered it wouldn’t be my place to. This isn’t my folklore and history to adapt and refresh. So, I’ll just remember the stuff I liked fondly and look forward to more Thai horror films because they’re definitely interesting.
