-I honestly and truly cannot think of a single better scenario than being stuck in an infinite time loop with Andy Samberg and zero responsibilities‼️

girls don’t want to use time loop for infinite sex; they want to use time loop for grad school
There have been so many riffs on the “Groundhog Day” formula that it can sometimes feel like the movies themselves are stuck in an endless time loop, but each subsequent iteration has tweaked the original in some way. “50 First Dates” stripped away the unexplainable metaphysics of it all for a romantic comedy that was equal parts Adam Sandler and Oliver Sacks. “Edge of Tomorrow” added aliens, Tom Cruise, and “Gears of War” cosplay to the mix. “Before I Fall” applied Harold Ramis’ concept to teen anxieties, “Happy Death Day” added a horror twist, “Russian Doll” revitalized it with an episodic approach (what a concept!), etcetera etcetera ad infinitum.
And yet, despite “Groundhog Day” becoming a genre unto itself, Max…
hits harder on a second watch when you’re like... wait this is actually about getting stuck in your depression and trying everything to get out but eventually just deciding to live in it and dragging someone you like into it with you and both getting comfortable. but then the other person decides they need to pull themselves out and will try to gather all the tools you both need to survive and you feel betrayed before realizing how it’s an act of love, and your sorrow has tricked you into thinking it’s a better companion. idk having a hard week and have been trying to pull myself out. and also conner o’malley is great.
cons: the fact that i can't be stuck in a time loop with andy samberg, cristin milioti and J.K. simmons for eternity
pros: literally everything else

honestly i would've just stayed in the time loop with andy samberg
Wonderful!! Such great chemistry between Samberg and Milioti, and they’re both very funny. As is a lot of the supporting cast! Would’ve gladly taken another hour of Conner O’Malley and Meredith Hagner gags. Pleasantly surprised to see the voice behind the yellow M&M make a live-action appearance here. Been eating those for a while, that’s my boy. Seeing him shine... feels like we all done come up.
Cristin Milioti is beautiful and she has very beautiful big eyes. What is this, the 2014 film Big Eyes? Spent a few minutes wondering how I would get my obligatory Big Eyes reference into this one and I just called an audible. I promise to put more effort in the next time I watch a film starring an ocularly-blessed woman, but I am in a rush to write this so I can go to Google Trends and see the sharp uptick in searches for “cristin milioti boyfriend” this weekend. Might as well skip a step!
