The Perfect Film if you can't sleep at Night.
A Group of tough Guys and a few pretty Women search in a Jungle - sorry, I forgot what they're looking for 🤷♀️- and come across flying Piranhas, exploding and carnivorous Plants and a big, not so good looking CGI Snake.
There's Action, some Humor, even a little Romance and actually some really nice Landscape Shots.
I don't know if it was because I was in a half-awake, half-asleep State, but I thought the Movie was Okay and will probably watch the next Parts of it too.
An expedition consisting of an evil businessman, a biology teacher looking for a cure for his ill daughter, and many military red shirts travel into the jungles of Rebirth Island to find the fabled(/profitable) Blood Apple, fight a swarm of flying Chang Fish (piranha), prehistoric exploding fruit, giant Venus fly traps, and eventually the main attraction, a deadly serpent so large it should be classified as kaiju.

I caught a few Chinese creature features that felt like early 2000s Syfy efforts, which scared me off many a promising poster. Snake is a very different beast. Went in expecting it to be absolutely terrible but it was actually pretty fun. It’s not a great movie by any means but it’s so much fun. It feels a lot like Anaconda 2 but I actually enjoyed this more than that. The cgi isn’t the best but in some shots it’s not bad and the dubbing was atrocious. An ok film but a ton of fun.
Not nearly as bad as I had expected!
This mixture of “Sharknado” and “Jurassic Park” grew on me after the first 20 minutes or so. There are some beautiful and creative scenes of mean monsters. The last 20 minutes are very bad again, but all in all, if you are into monster trash movies, this definitely isn´t the worst one to pick!

por incrível que pareça esse filme tem 2 cenas envolvendo a cobra gigante bem boas até.
Apenas isso mesmo, o resto é bem amador ( o que os créditos do filme claramente confirma que foi gravado por uma equipe iniciante).
Shockingly feels like a distinct film with a creative vision, and not like someone just wanted to write something off their taxes. Hilariously the English title is even more simple than the original Chinese (Big Snake); I'm not sure what the thought process was there. Were they so embarrassed by this film that they wanted it to be even more difficult to find on a search engine than it would be in Chinese? The mysteries never cease. Regardless, this is not actually an embarrassment, nor even a guilty pleasure. In fact, Snake is generally even better than many top-tier SyFy Original movies. It feels like a real, lived-in world, with much care taken to craft a story that has some actual love and effort put into it. It's anything but the lazy, push-it-out-quick cash grab that many films of this type end up being. As far as modern giant snake movies go, this one is easy to recommend.
Ich weiß nicht genau ob man mit 大蛇 das Vorhaben inne hatte, eine chinesische Version von Kong: Skull Island zu drehen. Falls ja: On Point! Natürlich ist diese Version eher Asylum als Hollywood, macht aber eine Menge Spaß. Es gibt gigantische Riesenschlangen, tausende fliegende, blutrünstige Piranhas und eine feindliche Fauna und Flora.
Ohne Zweifel ist Snakes deutlich besser als der vergleichbare Hollywood-Anaconda aus den 90ern. Diese Schlange hier ist ca. 100x größer, gefährlicher und cooler. Zudem ist das Tempo deutlich höher. Der Film weiß genau was er ist und bringt sich deshalb schnell auf den Punkt. Kaum Dialoge, keine großen Nebenhandlungen. Einfach Monsteraction.
Da ist es wirklich doppelt so schade, dass eben doch fast alles an Spezialeffekten aus CGI besteht.…
I think I’m gonna start hurting and torturing myself with movies because I enjoy them too much and I need to put my hand on the proverbial stove. There were many elements of snake which I enjoyed, and I hope everyone involved in the making of this film gets a billion dollars. I one day aspire to be killed by one of this films iconic flying changfish
Wie mein Vorredner schon sagte ist das einfach Skull Island und statt King Kong gibt es die Chef Schlange.
Dabei macht Snakes viel richtig aber auch einiges falsch.
Wer bock auf Monster Trash hat ist hier richtig. Es kreucht und fleucht überall. Zwar sind die Monster jetzt keine Revolution aber bieten genug Abwechselung.
Zum Cast kann ich recht wenig sagen, da ich keinen kannte. Die Leistungen sind aber solide.
Großes Problem so gut wie alles kommt aus dem Rechner. Selbst der Nebel auf der Insel..
Die Qualität der Monster ist auch leider sehr schwankend. Die Ober Schlagne sieht aber eigentlich immer gut aus und gerade Close Ups von Ihrem Gesicht geben echt was her.
Das alles macht das schon eine Menge Fun. Wer sich unsicher ist soll mindestens die Monster Szenen auf Youtube schauen.
Actually not bad. Manages to be both what it says on the tin (huge snakes) while also offering more than one may expect. By that, I mean a tongue in cheek nature that’s rarely overdone and a few surprises (man eating plants, exploding fruit and flying piranhas) to go with what’s a pretty cliche script. A better Monsterverse imitator than those Troll movies on Netflix.

This is just a knockoff of Anaconda 2, which is weird because theres like 12 years between releases. But at least it’s somewhat entertaining
