密林心慌慌, Masacre en el bosque, Masacre en el bosque (Murder In The Woods)
a little predictable, but it was entertaining, I was surprised to see Danny Trejo in this movie, to pass the time it's fine.🌲🏠🔪🩸
Perhaps this movie is entertaining in a so bad it's good kind of way. The beginning was so bad, but hysterical. Some of the greener actors delivered their lines in an annoying manner. Danny Trejo was basically the draw. The ending was pretty clear to me, but ambiguous in case people wanted to come up with different theories. In any case, this film got funding, even though they distributed it themselves.
I mean, it’s still bad but it wasn’t as terrible as I thought it would be. I watched it only for the plot if i’m being honest 😉😏 Even if she wasn’t in it for too long, Catherine Toribio gave me exactly what I wanted to see from her. Chelsea Rendon is not too shabby either. The rest of the movie was still meh. The reveal was an absolute disappointment and ruined what little fun in a so bad so good sort of way it had going and Danny Trejo was in it like five minutes and clearly a paycheck move.
A lackluster slasher that might earn some points for trying to do a lot with very little, "Murder in the Woods" finds its cast of characters trying to stay alive while a stalker has opposite intentions. The script offer a cookie cutter story, and the limited production would be much more easily written-off if the film's cast was less committed. Still, nothing the film does leans toward earning a recommendation.
It's got a fun cast, and it feels like the film potentially has a sense of humor, but gets bogged down in self-seriousness pretty fast, making everything feel tired as hell as it just runs through the motions without adding anything at all. The killer's revealed to be one of the most unthreatening villains I've seen in a film in years, sinking just about anything else it had going for it. Even when they're giving the big baddie explanation for why they were doing it all, all you can think of is why don't they just sock the person right in the goddamn mouth and watch them cry.
I'll give any cabin-in-the-woods horror a shot, which I'm willing to admit is a bad policy.
While it felt good to see a new(?) horror movie in the theater, this was pretty bad. The dialog was silly, and the actors weren't good enough to deliver it seriously. It did provide many (unintentional) laughs though, so that made it fun to watch. Plus Danny Trejo is in it, although not nearly enough.
First screening I’ve seen in my first week in LA. The cast and crew were in attendance, and they worked hard on the film so I don’t want to bash it..but..
Hm. I’ll just leave it at that.
The acting is bad and the killer's identity predictable. However this is a fun little slasher.
