don't tell any of my friends that i watched this shit. i actually have no words for how awful this is..
What in the middle school project, Lindsay Lohan fan club wanabe, werewolf and vampire crack lore is this?
Fake Beckinsale Vs. an obviously Green-screened Lindsay Lohan: Straight to streaming gold! Haha
Also towards the beginning...Forget Brexit...now there’s Frexit!
Simply the worst, respectfully.
A script that plays out like tween furry fanfic. The story makes no sense. Every line is a load of pants. It’s cringe. Effort went into this, that’s probably the saddest thing. If you squint you can see the outline of experience, at least in a technical sense. But fuck it sucks.
I didn’t bother working out exactly what’s going on. A super convoluted plot that combines politics and ‘werewolves’ and ‘vampires’, but not in any kind of interesting way. I dunno what anyone’s relationship was. It’s all over the place.
Lindsay is a terrible actress. She has the range of a pot plant and the most one note delivery I’ve ever seen. She brings children-level…
Sad to report that a movie where Lohan is a vampire First Lady to the werewolf president of Europe who hires a werewolf private detective is somehow terrible.
It has the production values of a Kroll Show sketch where Lohan plays a vampire First Lady to the werewolf president of Europe who hires a werewolf private detective.
The budget for this movie was 12 million dollars....? Where the hell was the money? There was a time where Lindsay Lohan was actually great which was in the early 2000s with Mean Girls and Freaky Friday. But then well we all know what happened, she’s become so irrelevant at this point so who’s bright Idea was it to give her a leading role in 2019? Well apparently Tiago Mesquita thought so and he thought she should be casted as a president...let me make one thing clear the word president and Lindsay Lohan do not belong in the same sentence. Anyway the acting as you would expect is dreadful, the writing is completely worthless and the filming looks like something…
I swear to god I must have accidentally smoked crack before pressing play on this.
Among the Shadows has 29 credited producers. That feels excessive for an actual movie, much less whatever this is.
Vampires, with no weaknesses or compulsion to drink blood, and werewolves, who are unaffected by the moon and don't actually turn into wolves, are locked in a vast conspiracy that will reshape the newly reconstituted United States of Europe.
Among the Shadows fancies itself a political thriller, with extremely pointless supernatural elements penciled into the script because they're cool, I guess?
Composed of 35% establishing shots and 45% inner monologues, the film's plot is prodded along by numerous cut-ins to poorly CGI-ed news breaks. The movie keeps introducing new characters, each one more bland and indistinguishable from the last, as the…
Why did I even bother, as films go Among the Shadows is as bad as they come I would say.
Private detective Kristy Wolfe(Charlotte Beckett) investigates the murder of her uncle at the same time hides the secret that she's from a long line of werewolves.
Lindsay Lohan also shows up as first lady Patricia Sherman who just happens to be a vampire, a new low here from Lohan which is a shame because about 15 years or so I could seen her becoming a big star but that clearly wasn't to be.
Just a cheap production which feels amateurish using a very gray colour palette.
Not forgetting that random sex scene that just comes out of nowhere which feels…
