Lethal Panther 2
★★ Watched

Lethal Panther: Made by Godfrey Ho and somehow it slays. Trash of the highest tier.

Lethal Panther 2: Made by someone else, and it's nonsensical horseshit that, yet, looks exactly like a Godfrey Ho cut & paste movie.

I can't distinguish up from down anymore, help.

A Godfrey Ho movie with a coherent storyline? Well that's a first!

There are trash movies, and then there’s this. This is a masterpiece of trash. It is time for a popcorn offering because Lethal Panther ascends from the mortal realms into the pantheon of exquisite trash B-movies by embodying garbage itself. One can no longer distinguish junk from treasure when subjected to the experience that is this movie. It rests in the upper echelons of the atmosphere. A god…

This movie knows exactly what it wants to be, and what it wants to be, well… Turns out I vibed with quite a lot.

My Mister

This sad drama hits a little harder now knowing that lead actor Lee Sun-kyun took his own life.

He's so convincing at playing someone on the edge of breaking down, someone down on their luck pushed to the limits of their sad lives, someone who is silently one step away from ending it all. Brilliant acting.

…or was it even acting?

Reminds me of Leslie Cheung actually, in that both of them had this melancholy and sadness behind their eyes.…

The Big Short's realist and even more depressing twin.

Excellent documentary that highlights just how frustrating it is that

a) only about 10 people had the power to actually do something about the 2008 financial crisis. Since sociopaths naturally climb to power positions, they didn't give a flying fuck about the consequences of their actions. No surprises there.

b) nothing happened to those people who were responsible.

c) even though the source of this shit happened in the USA, it…

Police Story 3: Super Cop

That Jackie Chan and Michelle Yeoh never starred together again on-screen after Supercop is an outright tragedy.

Everything about these 2 together in this movie is, quite simply, absolute perfection.

And the rest is pretty damn awesome too.
