Per usual, I started my Watchathon on October 1st and went until Halloween evening. This year I achieved a new personal best: 73 movies for the month! My eyes are tired!! As for the Hooptober Challenges, this was my 8th go-around and as always, all challenges were accomplished with great aplomb:
- 6 countries: (8) USA, UK, Canada, Italy, France, Spain, Mexico, Chile
- 8 decades: (11) 1920s-2020s

- 1 bloodthirsty old person/people film: Homebodies
- 2 1970s regional US films: (4) Creature from Black Lake, Impulse, Homebodies, Asylum of Satan
- The worst horror sequel from the 1990s that you haven't seen and can access: Trucks
- 1 German Silent: Nosferatu
- 5 Films from David Cronenberg, Ti West, Bill Rebane, Charles B. Pierce, William Grefe and/or Joy N. Houck Jr.: (6) The Roost, The Innkeepers, X, Death Curse of Tartu, Impulse, Creature from Black Lake
- 2 Christopher Lee films: The Bloody Judge, To the Devil a Daughter
- 1 film with a musician or band in it (A real life musician or band): We Need to Do Something (has an Ozzy voice cameo)
- 1 Stephen King adaptation that is not the first go around: Trucks
- 1 Lon Chaney film. (NOT JR): The Unknown
And 1 Tobe Hooper Film (There must ALWAYS be a Hooper film): (2) Mortuary, Spontaneous Combustion
