The last Leprechaun movie🍀but they end on a high🥲. By far the most bloody🩸& brutal one yet but it's campy again🙌. The new guy does a good job replacing Warwick and the giggling🤭 & rhyming🎶 is back. YES!
All the new characters are pretty great but Meredith was my fave. She's horrible😈 but I love a self-preserving drunken stoner queen.💅🏻🌿🍺
I still can't figure out what was going on with Ozzie in this but it was fun to see him back from the 1st one.👻🧟♂️🤷♀️
I'm gonna miss this lil Lep. Give more sequels to this horror icon please.🙏
Seriously, who knew that the 8th movie in the series would end up being the best?! Has that ever happened before? This was s/h/o/c/k/i/n/g/l/y good! I love that it picks up right after the first one, but plays out like a regular sequel instead of trying to be a “reimagining”. It’s confident just being a slasher sequel and listen Hollywood that is how you do it. This is the way a new Friday or Nightmare sequel should be: just stick to what works. Hello? Look at Halloween ‘18.
Plenty of gore, some great kills, and hysterical lines thrown in here and there are what make this a real winner. I also love how it makes fun of some genre tropes. When she was like “we have to do something!” then walks off boldly before turning around and saying “ok actually we should make a solid plan”, I was hollerin’.
Super enjoyable, lean/mean, and filled with some dope effects, Leprechaun Returns forgoes the many sequels and pulls a Halloween 2018—a trend I kinda? I’m down for different timelines, plus there’s some gnarly kills, one liners galore, Lep looks great (even though I miss Warwick Davis, this guy is pretty sweet) and the overall vibe of this thing just worked for me. I like most of the Lep movies, so I went in not knowing what to expect here and I was pleasantly surprised... this one is a solid addition if you ask me.
It’s pretty neat to see an Astron-6 (Fathers Day, Manborg, The Void) member bring all those effects n make-up from movies I really don’t like and finally make a movie I kinda loved.

This has some really fun kills. The solar panels alone generate enough renewable energy to sustain the films runtime. I loved the ridiculous moment when they revisited that carnage. There are definitely some other fun kills in the final act, including some of the times it seems the Leprechaun has been killed.
Great pick, M@. Another surprisingly good legacy sequel.
Degrees of Kevin Bacon: 2
1. Taylor Spreitler and Jennifer Jason Leigh in Amityville: The Awakening
2. Jennifer Jason Leigh and Kevin Bacon in In The Cut
Is this actually three stars or is my brain just melted from watching the rest of the franchise before this

Lila Jenkins, daughter of Tory Jenkins (Jennifer Aniston) from the original film has transferred to a new university. A university that happens to have bought the house owned by her mother and grandfather twenty five years ago. The same house in which they trapped the Leprechaun down the well in the front yard. No internet, no power, and no cell service. When an old face with a gold shilling in his gut shows up near the well the Leprechaun rises once again to continue his quest to reclaim ALL of his gold, and this time he is more sadistic than he has ever been before.
Fuck, was I shocked when I…
You vile troll!
Troll? Now that’s just offensive
I got worried when I saw SyFy Original, but wanted to check this out being a fan of other Steven Kostanski’s works. A DTV sequel to the original film, erasing all previous sequels, in which a group of sorority sisters are fixing up a house to be their new sorority house, which is the same farmhouse from Leprechaun. Our main character, Lila, is the daughter of Jennifer Aniston’s character and they even brought back Ozzie.
I was never the biggest fan of the original movie so the bar was set rather low. For a sequel 25 years later and having a completely new look for the leprechaun, it’s surprisingly good. Witty dialogue, solid practical effects and some of the best kills in any of these movies. Might actually be my favorite in the franchise and the one I’m most likely to revisit.
Happy St Patrick’s Day 🍀

Also, liebe Freunde der gepflegten Horrorkomödien-Trashs, aufgepasst! "Leprechaun Returns" hat mich positiv überrascht. Zugegeben, die Prämisse ist so absurd wie eh und je: Eine Gruppe Teenager erweckt den bösen Leprechaun aus seinem jahrzehntelangen Schlaf und muss nun um ihr Leben fürchten. Klingt nach 08/15-Slasher? Weit gefehlt!
Politische Korrektheit sucht man hier vergebens. Aber genau das macht den Film für…

I love the Leprechaun franchise and I'm totally happy with this reboot.
In Leprechaun Returns, a group of sorority sisters awaken the Leprechaun. The sorority sister angle is not played as exploitation, more like a Black Christmas vibe (attempt) with a real diversity of characters and types that each have some sort of arc in the film.
Give this movie at least 16 minutes and 20 seconds before you decide you're bored. In fact, this movie gets more and more and more bizarre and wonderful with each few minutes passing, which culminates in an awesome third act.
No one will ever match…
