Never have I been more annoyed and bored with a (mostly but also often very much not so) beautifully shot film with a stellar cast. Everything that makes this 'vintage Spielberg' just rubbed me the exact wrong way (although I very much appreciate his work normally). It just seemed convoluted and outdated to me. Multiply my aversion to this film with the overlong runtime. I wish Spielberg a happy retirement or that his remaining years at the McDrive will be happy ones. But please: no more movies like this, gramps.
