Wow, five years of Hooptober! I cannot believe it's been that long.
I just turned 30 and I'm still one credit away from a library science degree, but I've shed the toxic public library job for an amazing eight month co-op that's just ended. When I watch these films I'll be in my final class and working a few shifts a week at my local independent theatre. While it feels a bit like I've taken one step forward and two steps back, I'm excited for the future in a way that I haven't been these last few years.
Part of that excitement for me this year has been anticipating Hooptober and looking forward to participating in this horizon-widening, communal challenge.…
