Happy Hooptober Season! I usually love summer and hate to see it end, and that's been especially true this time around, where most of this summer was spent being sick or enduring a weeks-long heatwave. Anyway, this is my fourth Hooptober. I've never finished one on time, and last year was the first time I didn't finish at all. (Although I'm trying to pre-game a few things from the old list before Hooptober starts.) So I don't have a lot of high hopes for this year, especially because I'm trying to write a story around the same time period. But hey, we'll see.
A big chunk of this list is dedicated to my ongoing mission to watch all of the films and significant TV shows starring Amber Heard. If this grinds your gears, there's the door, sorry. I liked Nightmare on Elm Street, too.

9/17/2022 Update: Swapped out Two Faces of Dr. Jekyll for Dracula: Prince of Darkness (my brother-in-law let me borrow the DVD) and Army of the Dead for American Psycho (I just realized I wanted to see it more — plus I could use more women-directed movies this year).
10/18/2022 Update: Made some major changes. Swapped Videodrome for The House of the Devil (I didn't feel like getting a Peacock paid membership and X already had a musician). Switched out Tigers are Not Afraid for Thirst (same with Shudder -- I'll wait until the deck is clear and I can watch that and Dragula: Titans with less stress). Switched out Nope for Hocus Pocus 2 (going to wait until the rentals are more available/cheaper).
11/01/2022 Update: Well, I got to Halloween with only half the films watched. That's OK. It was a big year. Hopefully I can finish the rest by next October.
9/11/2023 Update: Well, I'm done with a few days to spare before the next Hooptober. ... Still better than last year, yay!
