54th Academy Awards (Oscars 1982)

Honoring the films released in 1981, the 54th Academy Awards Ceremony was held at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles on March 29, 1982. The ceremony was hosted by Johnny Carson, directed by Marty Pasetta, and produced by Howard W. Koch and Melvin Frank.

This year, the Academy Award for Best Makeup and Hairstyling was introduced.
