74th Academy Awards (Oscars 2002)

Honoring the films released in 2001, the 74th Academy Awards Ceremony was held at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles on March 24, 2002. The ceremony was hosted by Whoopi Goldberg, directed by Louis J. Horvitz, and produced by Laura Ziskin.

This year, the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film was introduced, the first new awards category since 1981.
