5th Academy Awards (Oscars 1933)

Honoring the films released between August 1, 1931–July 31, 1932, the 5th Academy Awards Ceremony was held at The Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles on November 18, 1932. The ceremony was hosted by Conrad Nagel.

This year marks the introduction of the Academy Awards for short films.
