3rd Academy Awards (Oscars 1931)

Honoring the films released between August 1, 1929–July 31, 1930, the 3rd Academy Awards Ceremony was held at The Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles on November 5, 1930. The ceremony was hosted by Conrad Nagel.

This year, the Academy Award for Best Sound was introduced.
