It doesn’t quite have the absurdity of something like House Shark but there are some truly hilarious moments and probably the best acting you’re ever going to see in a bad shark movie.
Utterly abysmal, these things are pointless drivel. That being said if I had to rank pointless drivel from best to worst this would be one of the more entertaining ones. Also at this point Jason London is a meme and I love it.
Daily Horror Scavenger Hunt 8 – February 2019 Day 20: For no reason at all, we're going to watch any movie starring either Jason or Jeremy London. Or both.
Ha! I found a movie with both of the London Boys in it...granted Jeremy is only in it for 10 seconds or so, but I guess if there's a sequel he'll have a much bigger role. ("At least we still have Jeremy").
The shark stuff, apart from a couple of funny moments, is pretty forgettable in this movie. Most of the kills don't matter and aren't really anything exciting. But this movie is a Syfy movie and it's one of those that is all about the humour, rather than anything close…

28. Watch a shark movie
Director Misty Talley is really perfecting her craft, having also directed Ozark Sharks, Shark Island, and the holiday classic Santa Jaws. It think working on numerous Hallmark Christmas movies also helped mold her style and transferred it to these shark movies. This goes to show that bad special effects do not necessarily rob a film of all entertainment potential. The crappy effects here make it more enjoyable. The film ambles its way through the expected storylines, yet demonstrates a tongue-in-cheek awareness of shortcomings – both its own and the genre’s in general. A very fun shark movie that does everything correctly. There are a couple of dull moments but what comes up after those makes them worth it.
I just know the famous actor character was based on that dude from sharknado. Source: Trust me, bro
I had fun with this one.
The cast was decent.
Jason London has a small bit in it
The sharks were cute.. haha Yeahhhh they were cute

Preparing for an annual tradition, a group of locals at a fishing competition on the Mississippi River find that the whole affair has been invaded by a species of man-eating sharks and must find a way of getting the rest of the fishermen off the river and stop the sharks.
There was a lot to really like in this one. One of the film’s positive points is the fact that there’s plenty of solid lead-up throughout here to get the main point of the film going. With the exploits of the fishing competition carrying on with all the fine build-up here of the big attacks that provide all the lead-in to the infestation, from the first fisherman attack out on…
Director Misty Talley comes through with yet another really enjoyable low-budget killer shark movie that like her other pictures doesn't take itself too seriously. Once again, Talley offers a tasty evocation of a downhome rural country setting. Talley further keeps the blithely inane story zipping along at a snappy pace as well as maintains an amiable tongue-in-cheek campy tone throughout. Of course, we also have a handy helping of gloriously goofy over-the-top gory violence. Jason London has a ball playing himself as a doltish jerk. Cassie Steele makes for a pleasingly perky take-charge heroine. Tahj Vaughans and Dean J. West are very engaging as an eager duo who help Steele out. Marco St. John is a total hoot as a pompous blowhard of a car dealership owner. Yep, the CGI sharks look super cheesy, but that only adds to this film's considerable kitschy charm. A fun piece of silly nonsense.
A very fun romp with lots of people gettin' eaten by sharks. And there's a solid 5 minutes on that boat on the cover. Maybe four.
Misty Talley - if you are reading this, were your four shark movies that came out in four consecutive years part of the same universe? And yes, I know actors were recycled in different parts, but the question remains.
