I think this was some sort of competition to find the most annoying person in France.
french slasher movie with a 'Scary Movie' vibe always got me lol, still a comfort movie even if it’s objectively bad
Jérôme Niel toujours autant connard
Ok, people who didn't like this movie didn't get that it was supposed to be stupid and humorous. for sure another netflix hidden gem.
So boring I've started watching a reddit music stream and having a dance
La scène du sanglier espagnol est dans le kino du cinéma français et aurait du rapporter 1md d'euros au box office
“Alors quelle est la cible? Mammifères ou être humain?”
there’s a character named Nadine in this and they call her Nad, exactly the kind of me representation i’ve been looking for lol. fun cabin/mansion in the woods type scenario taking digs at slasher tropes the french way. somewhat decent cast even though their acting is pretty rough in places, and the comedy mostly gets saved by a very skilled editor. they sold me on it anyway. i am intensely in love with the beard guy who’s stoned out of his mind the entire time btw 😭 tiens ma main chérie
Rather enjoyed this one. The characters were all great fun (if clichéd) and although the story of 'friends go off to an abandoned building for a party and slowly get killed by mysterious being' isn't the most original, it was really well done.
It was pretty funny in places too, although some of the jokes were obvious and dated.
But really, it looked great - some fantastic lighting and sets here, it was good fun, and didn't go in an expected direction. A nice little light-comedy horror worth checking out.
Boring Work, Mediocre Movie Entry #LXXXIV:
French Hipster Horror Fest
The cast is mostly assembled from French YouTube-"Stars" and they do a half decent job at least. Some funny Ha-Ha moments and a decently guided Camera made this an enjoyable Work-Time Killer.
Nothing surprising, but certainly a whole level above the general output from France, in my opinion of course.
