They just don't make 'em like this anymore, folks. The golden age of fantasy films right here, when they were still done with practical effects. It's all too easy now with CG, but it just doesn't have the same analog magic. Sword and sorcery, medieval fantasy, fairy tales. High adventure and childlike wonder. Does anyone else miss this stuff?

Anyway, I was doing an 80s fantasy marathon a while back (which I never finished). So, here's my incomplete ranked list of 80s fantasy films (only including things I've watched recently and reviewed on LB). I plan to add to this in the coming weeks, so keep an eye out for some more 80s fantasy reviews (if you're into that kinda thing).
