I'm sure abigail breslin is a nice girl who pays her taxes on time, but she dances with the grace of a potato.

No slow build.
No chemistry at all.
In the original, when Jerry Orbach asks, "who is responsible for this girl," and then dismisses Johnny when he comes forward... that is some powerful stuff. You can feel the hurt from both sides. This film over-explains everything: "I assume you're responsible for this girl, you should be ashamed of yourself" is indicative of this script: it over-explains and doesn't leave any room for nuance or emotion to play out.

I watched this because I thought it would be hilariously bad and everytime Nicole Scherzinger was on screen I wasn't disappointed. The main 'dance' was one of the most cringeworthy film scenes I've ever witnessed. Wowzer!!!
